Portable Appliance Test (Electrical Safety Test)

Portable appliance testing (commonly known as PAT Testing) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. Testing are conducted in offices, business apartments, public and private place to ensure the safety of user who is handling or for the frequently used instrument.

Health and safety regulations require that electrical appliances are safe and maintained to prevent harm to workers. Many equipment manufacturers recommend testing at regular intervals to ensure continual safety. Some equipment is just more likely to sustain damage than others. Handheld types are handled and moved more than other types and this can lead to rough handling, which often results in damage and early life failure.

Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination but some types of defect can only be found by testing. By Testing we can find leakage current, continuity test, weak insulation and even bad earthing of appliances. Know More..

Hydro Testing

Hydro testing is a type of test that is performed on pressure vessels to check for leaks. Hydro testing involves completely filling up a pressure vessel with water and then pressurizing it. Once pressurized, leaks can be detected. Hydro testing can be used to determine if a pressure vessel has the correct mechanical properties.

Hydro testing is used for many different types of pressure vessels, including Fire Extinguishers, Chamber, Manifold, Pipelines etc.

So it’s important to do hydro test to avoid the bursting of pressurized part, inspecting of corrosion etc at regular intervals to ensure continual safety.

Circuit Breaker (ACB Testing)

Air Circuit Breaker (ACB) is designed to act as the primary point of isolation and as a protection in the event of a fault or over current occurring on the system, thereby safeguarding the system up-line. Failure to operate can lead to serious consequences.

We are experts for doing ABB and Schneider Electric ACB. We will conduct the full function test of ACB by using manufacture recommended circuit breaker analyzer.

  • Overload with inverse long time delay relay (L Relay)
  • Short circuit with adjustable delay relay (S Relay)

  • Earth Fault with adjustable delay relay (G Relay)

Trip Test is conducted and certificate is issued after the test mentioning protection parameters and test result timings.
